What I know is that the guy was investigated for terrorism connections, but there was nothing anyone could do to prevent him from legally purchasing an automatic firearm. If you mean prevent that from being possible through sensible legislation, then yes, I'm all for it.

Sorry but common sense says if your investigated in a terror related investigation your firearms license should be pulled. I'm sure law enforcement who investigated this prick wanted to do just that and probably more. But his ass would of lawyered up and claimed his rights were violated. You can't have it both ways in the real world. Bad guys are bad guys they need to be treated as such. If he was investigated there was a reason.
