  • Appreciate it bro, I get what you're saying. Just in a bit of a low state right now so I got a bit defensive. I agree with what your saying.

How is the 401k coming along. Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 20 years? Being the biggest in the room is a great goal, but unless it is paying the bills, it won't help you out much at 70.
Well, a new "hobby" doesn't necessarily mean something active. Could start a business or do something creative/artistic. Bouncer will probably look back at himself one day and laugh for thinking it's this important to be the biggest, most sculpted guy in the room.

You can actually spend 1/8 of the effort to be healthier and fitter than most people on the planet just by eating right and exercising a few times per week and having the other 7/8 of your time living life and enjoying other hobbies. Or you can spend 8/8 of your time being a hard core bodybuilder and sculpt your body each summer and then shrink in winter, deal with the ups and downs and do it all over again. Bouncer, is it really worth it?

If you are only sleeping 4 hours per night and your CNS is jacked up it sounds like you may be dealing with more than just physical stress. Sounds like potential mental/emotional stress in there too. It might make sense to also consider going to see a psychotherapist to find out "why" you feel the need to do this to yourself to simply be the biggest, most sculpted guy in the room. You're clearly disciplined and dedicated. If you dedicated yourself the same way to a new hobby like starting a business for example and treated it the way you treat bodybuilding, you'd be a millionaire in a year or two. Hell, I could even see you volunteering at or starting an animal shelter. That would be a nice, worthwhile, rewarding hobby.

Good luck and keep your head up Bouncer, I'm pulling for you.

      • Listen up youngster

The body changes and so does the mind so we're an evolving species.

I'm the old days people only lived till 30 but these days are different.

Physically you have programmed in a crazy amount of muscle memory enough to last you a lifetime.

It's time to think more of holistic mind and body.

CT levels as high as mine are usually only seen in people after extreme activity. the tour de france riders for example after a week of riding will display the same levels of CT levels. look it up, its the best identifier of extreme over training.

add to the fact that the doc has me on hydrocodone every 4 hours for the pain caused by the shoulder sprain when I fell. anyone that has used hydrocodone will know just how foggy and off balance it makes you feel. without it i can not sleep longer than 1 hour due to pain and being uncomfortable.

In other words, "Taking up another hobby" sounds like a great idea from afar but at least until the 13th the doc wants me doing nothing at all but recovering. the whole reason all this happened was due to the fact that I was living on 4 hours of sleep a night, dehydration, extreme physical stress where steroids allowed me to push my body and mind much furthur that I would have been able to naturally.

turbo, your post isn't wrong but IMO it's the type of post that was made to get "likes" and to jab ole bouncer a little bit. the most important thing in the short term is to recover and not repeat the mistakes that got me here in the first place. instead of giving me support and offering helpful suggestions on how to deal with not being able to do anything for the time being it feels a bit like a kick while I'm down type deal. and of course the passive agressives will always give that sort of thing a "like".
I would say the 4 hours of sleep a night is a major factor

          • Agree moochie and Mr I, thanks. This incident definitely woke me up a bit. It's scary to have no control and just lose consciousness. What if I had been driving.. fuck. Anyway, I won't be making the same mistakes that's for sure.

                  • Yup, I'll come out with more understanding of my body. Was probably not making the most effective gains being so overtrained and dehydrated. I guess I thought on cycle you really couldn't overtrain. Wrong for sure. CNS gets fucked up.

                            • Bouncer, I've never really felt light headed before. Can you describe what it felt like right before you passed out? Were your legs weak or anything? Any vision issues, room spinning?

                              • Dizzy sort of drunk type feeling. Kind of feel unstable. Room starts spinning and that the room gets dark and that's all she wrote.
