  • Tour De France 2016

Rip you watching? What a beautiful country. They take a different route with different scenes every year and every year i'm blown away by the old towns and forts etc.. just an amazing country.

This year they are starting near Normandy beach. Lots of WW2 scenes and old stone bridges still destroyed. Very cool.

Shame to see Alberto Contador having to quit due to injury.

Crazy that he signed with another team DURING the current tour. His current team was apparently ignoring him on his last day when he needed some support during the race. I don't blame them, bit disrespectful to sign with a new team during the tour.

Definitely a dick move to switch teams during the biggest race of the year.

Great cyclist but total dick. Remember the BS move he tried to pull, blaming a positive doping test for clen on "tainted" beef? Lol...

Makes me want to get out on the road. Might have the get the bike out on Saturday morning. Go hit the back roads and clear my mind.

Other than a long walk in the woods, there's nothing quite like a bike ride on backcountry roads on a lazy summer day to put you in the right state of mind.

The tour just makes me want to go to France lol

I feel like I'd be uncomfortable on one of those bikes.

Love the look of the country though. I download each stage the night before and watch it in the mornings with my coffee and computer. Calms me down seeing the beauty.

Takes time to dial in your ride, but flying down a hill at 25-35mph on a crisp morning, country road, passing cows, deer, and whatever else.

                    Amazing.

but...going to Fenace also sounds like a blast. I hope to visit in a few years.

Are those bikes even rideable by heavier fellas? No disrespect to the riders because I think they are amazing athletes but they all seem to be around 150lbs or less. Would a bike like that even hold me?

i'm not talking about typical bike you see on road, i know those bikes are made for fatties. i mean the type of bikes they use in tour. you can lift those bikes with a pinky. i was just wondering if those specialized bikes that cost like 10 grand are only made for really light people or if they can hold heavier people.

My client has one of those bikes dipshit. It's all carbon fiber and he paid $2800 for it, thing weighs 22lbs at most. They took measurements on the XL bike frame and then customized the rest.

For anything bigger than XL they have to custom make you a frame and it'll end up costing you $10K minimum.

dna the bikes in the tour weigh 16 lbs. thats what the commentators said anyway. hard to imagine something that weighs so little holding a bunch of weight but i guess the materials used make the difference. guess thats why they cost like 10 grand.
