anyone that likes to lift and has enthusiasm towards the lifestyle like you is welcome here.

seems to be a strange rise the last few years in people on bodybuilding forums that are against bodybuilding and the lifestyle in general. i find that weird as fuck. i dont really like cats but you dont see me on a cat forum spending my time talking shit about them. seems to come down to some kind of underlying anger some people have towards people who like to look a certain way.

It's also been a shift in recent years on the lifestyle of being fit. It's one thing to look like a freak on the outside and yet dying on the inside.

Many years ago everyone would of never considered today's possible issues arising from AS use. Now? You've got more people taking a step back (including yourself) that exterior looks isn't all that, sometimes it's worse.

We need to not only focus on the outer but inner oneself as well.

I don't bash those that wanna be monsters or play the size game, go for it. What I make a mockery of is for those who just want to be greedy with no purpose of competition and yet take tremendous amounts of gear, for what? Then to find out later, well you've costed yourself a few years, good job nancy!

All because you're a monster now? Let's chat 10yr from now and see how you're doing. I say it like that NOT to make myself better than them, but rather question their mental behavior; it's extremely destructive and most of them have kids, families.

It's just an opinion and not necessarily putting them down and if anything, hopefully they'd think about their fams.

I know people now that are in this situation and I tell it just like this. We can achieve great things with minimal AS. What they havery to realize is it's going to take more work because of less drugs, so what it's called work!

I remember my big ass long cycles and now they're just the same, long but very minimal doses. Ironically I've been able to get far more better results with less drugs. What I attribute this is to me doing more work.

More drugs and some of us do less work because we see great results.

My point to this is just how today's industry on being fit, big,etc...is very different than I'd day 6yrs ago or so.

Have you considered that we aren't 25 anymore and we have other things going on. People grow. I am a different person to who I was at 25. I still appreciate training and always will but I struggle with the fact their are some who have such a simple mindset in life and their highest priority is to get big delts. Staying fit and healthy is one thing but there is much more out there to explore than trying to be the biggest guy in the gym Brah.

who are you to tell someone else how they should live their life? why do you struggle with the choice someone else makes to have a single and simple goal? IMO if you were truly happy with where you are in life you wouldn't have such a need to put down others for having a simple life view. live and let live bro. not live and be angry with others. lol

Hang on a second. Where am I telling anybody how to live. I never tell anybody how they should live. I am never happy with where I am at. That's why I constantly challenge myself with new things like study, business, real estate and being an all round great guy. I don't think anybody is ever truly happy with where they are. It's human nature to want more.

It's not about putting anybody down. I don't want to put people down. Its about being able to relate. I can't relate to the stuff I did when I was 25 because I feel I have grown. I'm sure this is what happens to many members over time. Don't forget I'm nearly 40. It has nothing to do with anger or jealously, its more to do with boredom. There is nothing new or exiting to me anymore about trying to get huge and ripped.

Like I have said before, I have nothing against being fit and healthy but when I see these young dudes today in the gym with these over inflated egos I think to myself "what a fucking try hard". Iv'e been there and done that, moved on. It's kinda like growing up. Remember when Arnold said to himself "why am I standing here on stage trying to be the most muscular guy". After that he quit and went on to greater things. Well thats where I am at right now brother. Moving on to greater things.

Fair enough red, I can respect that.

                  BUT

I feel like you could do it with a less negative vibe. For example you mention how you will see a guy in the gym and laugh and make a comment to yourself like "what a fucken tryhard" or whatever. Why? Why look at guys that have a goal to be jacked and ripped and have that attitude? Why not just say "haha i been there brother, i know what it's like"? instead you kind of come across angry or at least very willing to put down or insult those who are still in that "get big" phase. that to me doesn't sound like someone who has truly moved on and 100% happy with themselves. Arnold may have moved on but he certainly never left the bodybuilding world behind. he stayed very much involved because he loved the life.

why not take the approach of being helpful to those who are at a place in life where you have already been? why not share some of your wisdom with guys like traps instead of being constantly negative about the whole lifestyle.

IMO it's like a woman who constantly talks about how bad men are in general and how they should never be trusted and then in the same sentence says "i have nothing against men". it's like umm, something doesn't add up here. There must be a reason you have an overly negative vibe about the whole thing.

I respect and completely understand your "been there done that" attitude. I just wish it you took a different approach and used the knowledge you gained to help others while your here.

isn't that question answered for you though? consider how you would look without that time spent in the gym. for me that is more than enough reason to keep at it.

I'm not saying you can't have other interests in life but I feel like I could never be ok with looking "normal".

I get where you are coming from and I do come over negative sometimes and I think that coming here is and outlet in a way. If you knew me in person you would probably find me a very different character. I am actually very positive and supportive of people around me in my life and a bit of a joker. I think if I have had a stressful day, anything negative comes out here because its easy, because in real life I wouldnt show it. Does that make any sense? Fuck thats deep brah. I could probably make more of an effort to be less negative except when it comes to Mr I.
