Driving home after work yesterday..step on the gas..pedal goes to the floor..nothing happens..Im like WTF?? coast over to side of highway. seems the throttle cable broke at the throttle body. Great... so I start trying to figure out how to get this thing going as I got 20 more miles to the house... I took the cap off my water bottle, made a hole in the center with my knife..ran throttle cable thru hole..tied a knot in the cable so it cant pull thru bottle cap. squeezed bottle cap with pliers to make in long and narrow. placed cable back in groove on throttle body then pulled cable to bottom and placed the bottle cap at bottom of throttle body and wrapped the shit out of it with tape.:thumb:

It got me home and to work today. new cable is supposed to be in by tomorrow then I can proceed to swap them out.:agreed:

Nothing like a little redneck ingenuity:grin:

Hell bro, saved a 100 dollar tow bill and a repair shop bill. I got the cable ordered for 68 bucks. its what we would of called in the Army a "field expedient repair"
