  • WTF is pokemon go?

All the sudden I'm seeing people walking around and stopping in the middle of nowhere. Every time the news is on it's talking about some kid that ran out in the middle of the street with traffic or walked into a pole etc.. while playing this game.. Not even just kids either, teens and adults. Kids I can understand but grown men and women!?!

    Wtf is going on!?!

P.S. This thread is on topic due to the fact that it is defended by some people as being good because it makes people go outside and "get some exercise". lol

I believe it is being reported on so much because it has over 25 million daily active users and the stock of Nintendo jumped 25% after it was released.

It's Pokémon reinvented into a modern game using your phone camera to catch them in public. You literally walk around outside or in your home catching them.

Then you have to walk and find the gyms to battle them.

Props for making a game that forces kids to be active instead of sitting indoors all day. Sad thing is, adults are even playing and it looks foolish

My training is on point man. We got shoulders coming up tonight at 8pm followed by 30min of post workout cardio. Then off and heading home to slam down my 9oz of chicken breast with asparagus.

Mind you my chest is sore from Tuesday and I'm starting my feel my back get sore from yesterday

Yea kids I don't mind it's no different than gameboy or portable shit from when I was kid. But adults just seems really weird to me.

Two Grown Men Fall Down Cliff While Playing 'Pokemon Go'

Two men fell off a cliff Wednesday in San Diego's North County while playing "Pokemon Go," the Encinitas Fire Department confirmed.

San Diego Lifeguards reported that someone had fallen off a cliff at E Street around 1:12 p.m. When the Encinitas Fire Department arrived, they found a man around 80 to 90 feet down the cliff, on the beach.

Crews found a second man who was unconscious about 50 feet down the cliff.
Both men were taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

A sign posted on the fence warns the public that the bluffs are unstable but the men had climbed over to find a character in the popular video game, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

"Pokemon Go" opens with a warning to players to be aware of their surroundings, but that hasn't stopped reports of accidents across the country since the "augmented reality" game's July 6 release.

There have been several disturbing stories connected to the popular game.

In Wyoming, a woman found a dead body floating in a river. Then, in San Francisco, a brother and sister had their phones stolen while playing the game. Similar crimes have been reported elsewhere.

Ankle injuries, mishaps with revolving doors and walking into trees have also been reported. In Long Island, New York, for example, a graduate student injured himself falling off a skateboard and a Maine woman reported twisting her ankle because she was distracted.

And then there are the embarrassing incidents like the players in Pennsylvania who found themselves locked in a cemetery after closing.

Of course, some Pokemon trainers have gone "above and beyond." Take, for example, the Michigan man who stumbled on an intoxicated woman behind the wheel of her still-moving vehicle.

In Fullerton, California, two veteran U.S. Marines were playing "Pokemon Go" and helped nab a man wanted for attempted murder and other crimes, police said.

Lmao... Beating women is a sin in Islam actually. Don't confuse Islam with modern day fundamentalist bullshit and wahabism bullshit
