  • Astronometers map 1.2 million galaxies

Fascinating to try to imagine the scale of this.

Lol idk but reading about flat earth makes sense no curvature has ever been measured and engineers never take the earth's curvature into consideration. Not saying I belive the earth is flat just something to think about.

The curvature of the earth was proved by Eratosthenes more than 2000 years ago. I dare say we shouldn't be arguing about this at this point in time.

Eratosthenes' experiment was covered by Carl Sagan in his Cosmos series. Here is a video:

I remember that exact moment in the cosmos vid. He made things so easy to understand. Love him.

Doesn't change the fact that nasa are a bunch of liars and photoshop nearly everything you see.

If you guys look at the new Jupiter photos from 2016 they have identical cloud formations to the pictures nasa posted from 2014 lol.

                    Not even a good video...

I was expecting at least a sound argument. Guy just keeps saying "look at this dumb picture, looks like dots of paint". His rational is it is fake because it looks dumb? Not sure what he was expecting a map of galaxies to look like.

Sorry, missed this one but had to comment. Storms on Jupiter are really long lived, often for years and sometimes centuries. The Great Red Spot, for example, is a storm that has been raging for over 200 years. Jupiter also spins very fast, about 10 hours for a rotation. Due its large size, this sets up some pretty significant winds as well as Coriolis forces in the atmosphere, which is why it has such spectacular storms. So, it is not very surprising that when you look at a picture of Jupiter from now vs. a couple of years ago, things don't look that different. It is very different from Earth.

Scrum. If the earth wasn't round it would be the greatest story or lie ever told. Think about that for a second.

its round because of gravity/magnetic core/etc. if the rock or potential planet is less than 500 miles long it cant become a sphere. It's not big enough.

OK traps jokes over. Nobody wants to waste their time debating the most ignorant argument known to mankind. Enough of the trolling.
