  • MRI Results - Arthritis In Shoulder

I have been battling a lot of shoulder and arm pain for months on my right side. Finally got Dr. to get me an MRI. So it seems I have bad arthritis in my shoulder and that's causing my muscles to tense up. She believes this is caused from humping Volkswagens on my back for 20 years in the Army. The weight of heavy loads over the years is now showing the toll it put on my body.

This in turn is some how pinching a nerve that runs down my arm to my finger tips. needless to say I been all fucked up lately:thumb: Dr gave me muscle relaxers and those have allowed me to relax the muscles in the area which loosened up and a lot of the pain is gone. I come off muscle relaxers for a few days and the stiffness tightness and pain start to return. Take pills again for a few days..it gets better.

Bad thing is shes saying that she believes the lifting(although I lift relatively light) could also be contributing to the tightness of the muscles in my back/ shoulders/ neck area. She said I shouldn't do weights just stretch and use resistance bands.

I feel if I stop Ill fall out of shape fast and don't want to do that so Im looking for any ideas any of you may have? I try to go 5days a week normally my workouts are at lunch time and last about 50 min to a hour.

Im of the mindset of continue lifting, but maybe cut down to 3 days a week instead of trying for 5 days a week and just do cardio the other 2 days instead of lifting.

The thing is this..the arthritis cant be healed or removed as you all know and will only get worse with time...but Its the muscles/ strength/ shape of the body I don't want to loose and want to prevent from loosing. getting older sucks...:grin:

I'd try to look into a movement specialist in your area. If you're not familiar with movement specialists they have the ability to assess and detect aberrant movement, which maybe causing a problem and then intervene with strategies to overcome these issues. Usually they work with Parkinson disease but many work with athletes. Hope everything works out for you bro.

I know I am a broken record brother and i know you already know what I'm going to say but arthritis actually can be helped substantially with certain PED's.

TB-500 which you can buy from Maxim Peptides is not illegal if used for "research purposes". All it takes is a small insulin pin in the stomach once every 5 days. You would feel at least 50% better within a month or 2.

Deca, obviously an illegal steroid would also help you a great deal. Deca works better for joint pain than most arthritis meds.

Last but certainly not least. HGH would literally build the cartilage back up and in part literally heal you, not just mask the pain.

At least give Tb-500 a try as it's not illegal and can be bought legally. Maxim has 40% off sales all the time.

I know we've had this discussion a million times bro but i absoulutly know any of those 3 drugs would improve your quality of life and allow you to keep lifting for years to come. I'll stfu now because I know your probably against all of them.

Also, at the very least brother, increase fish oil intake. 2 caps with every meal has been shown to improve joint comfort far more then glucosamine chondroitin which has been proven all but worthless.

Fish Oil is a potent anti inflammatory without the side effects of traditional NSAIDs like ibuprofen.

It's too late with fish oils, he wouldn't notice anything for a while. GH would be the best and would work quickly.

Best of luck lip. Injuries suck and the down time is the worst. I had my left rotator cuff tendon strain during a set of seated DB shoulder presses and costed me 6 months of downtime. I feel for you man

            Take CBD oil.

It helps my mom's arthritis tremendously and has many other benefits to go along with it.

It's not too late for fish oil. It's a proven anti inflammatory. That alone can lessen the pain.

Seems to me right now with this its gonna be about pain management. Im gonna have to figure out a happy medium that I can get along with and continue to work. The pain this caused really got to an unbearable point. I was a miserable bastard.. neck down behind my shoulder, down arm thru triceps and then tingiling down forearm to finger tips. I couldn't sit, stand, driving was a killer couldn't hold a dumbbell over 50 lbs in my right hand..

I had no patience to even listen and talk I was an irritable bastard..LOL The muscle relaxers really helped and most of the pain is gone now. I only take one at night every couple days when stuff starts hurting again. That seems to put it back so as not to hurt so much. My grip strength even has come back in the right hand. Really amazing what a couple days of meds did.

Im glad its this and not what I feared, a bad disk in my neck or something causing it. So really I guess I cant complain much.

what muscle relaxer you on? i was on all kind of muscle relaxers for the spasems in my back. valium beats them all hands down even though it's not specifically made as a muscle relaxer i find that it works better then Soma, cyclobenzaprine etc..

Here's a thing, certain medical terms are wide, and cause fear, often overdone

Arthritis and degenerative disk disease are two such. By 30, most people will have both. It's not the end.

But lip, how is you're back? Nerves are often punched from there, I'm not trying to add concern. Just pointing out that pain in nerves can be felt far from the source.

And that brings up the sympathy for each other. There is nothing like experiencing the pain your buddy is feeling.
Hang in there rip. There some good suggestions here. :)

Two years ago most of the replies would've been "shut the fuck and go lift you pussy!" Lol.
