They fought the Germans a helluva lot longer then we did. A strong argument could be made that without Hitler having to fight a war on 2 fronts he may have won. The Russians had a very large part in winning WW2. That's just a fact.

Forget Syria, what about Ukraine? Russia wants Ukraine and all the baltic countries. The only thing stopping them is NATO and the USA. Don't think they are willing to get into a conflict over it?
