Well I hope he does well. John Elway is another one that could have played MLB had he chosen to do so. Not that he and Tebow compares at all when it comes to quarterback skill but I am just saying.
Anyway if this is true I hope he does very well. I want to see this guy succeed. He is a guy id love for my 5 year old son to look up too as opposed to many other professional athletes.
He could have made it in the NFL. Some teams just blackballed him cause of his celebrity.
Denver said "fuck it, what else can we do?" and he took them on a ride that season that I would say was more exciting that last year's Super Bowl run. Everybody across the nation was tuning in for Tebow Time and the angels in the 4th quarter.
But if he really had the killer in him like Kobe or MJ or Brady or Manning then he would be on the practice field at 4AM every day working out. Not saying he didn't put in the work but I think he relies too much on his god given ability. I know he works out a lot and Dilfer said he "looked good" last offseason but really, does he have the kill, does he have what it takes to work that fucking hard in the NFL? He never had to do it before now.
I still root for the guy and the funny thing is that this year Denver again is in the exact same predicament with Sanchez. If Elway can swallow his pride there's a chance at another run of Tebow Time after week 7 when Denver's 2-5 with Sanchez under center.
He couldn't make it because he couldn't run an NFL offense. I don't think any team gave a shit about his beliefs or otherwise. Problem is, his limited offense got exposed on more than one team and he wouldn't consider being a role player like being a blocking back for someone else.
