I remember the first fight of the UFC. Back then they fought for honor, pride and respect. They got paid pennies to the dollars and walked away happy.

Now? The UFC makes too much money and doesn't compensate well enough. No insurance, no retirement, nothing. Miocic and Overeem got paid the same amount of $50K for fight of the night? The same? when one lost and the other retained his belt? gtfo...don't get me wrong, I love the sport, but I do NOT like the way it's gone in recent years.

I watched the fight, I had too. I felt obligated because I trained at that gym that Stipe comes from; I was there 5 days a week. I feel as if Cleveland loves Stipe like Philly loved Rocky...They need a champ, a hero a role model. I am happy for them and Stipe.

THAT was not a fight, they got caught and Stipe was just able to finish him. It's all jokes and games, they run in circles, they laugh inside the ring, etc...Fucking fight, it's what you're paid to do, you're a pro.

MMA is about respecting others regardless of size, strength, etc...this has all gone down like the WWE:)
