AHHH brother Bouncer....do a little research my man...the Ruddy duck is one of the few ducks to get its full color plumage in the spring...most ducks get all there full color in the fall/ winter. But the lowly little Ruddy duck don't, so to be lucky enough to get a ruddy in almost full color in January in VERY RARE... very few duck hunters have an opportunity to do so. So you see grasshopper...it is as you say..."Neat"...

Normal ruddy duck coloring in January... all the ducks in this picture except the top redhead are ruddy ducks as they normally look in late January...the colors normally don't appear until march.several months after duck season closes.

The duck is beautiful! But, because of that I don't understand how you could kill such a beautiful creature. :(
