Anybody get rid of their cable for one of those streaming services? I pay like $300 a month for cable and its getting old! I saw this thing called MuVibox looks cool but I'm wondering if they actually work or is it just a hassel? My biggest questions are, can you watch live sporting events and doea it play smoothly or do it always break up while you're watching?

I ditched cable awhile ago. You can find everything you wanna see but you have to have a bit of technical/internet knowledge. I wouldn't recommend it for someone used to the convenience of just turning on the tv.

We have COX now and with net and tv, our bill is $115 taxes included...but many are starting to do exactly this. I can't see myself doing this and being tech savvy or not, has nothing to do with my decision.
As bouncer said, i just want to turn the tv on and poof....

it will be much easier to do in the future. that's where tv is headed for sure, away from the traditional cable/satellite companies. but as of right now it's definitively not as simple as turning on the tv and having normal cable.
on the flip side though, i can watch every single thing you guys watch plus free pay per view like ufc and all I pay is $25 a month for internet.
what your paying for really is just the convenience. once you learn how to do it all though it becomes pretty easy.

the future of tv or shows and/or electronics will be something out of this world, no pun.

I don't use "a streaming company". I use the internet and multiple sources for whatever content I want. Different sites for live sports, tv shows, movies still in theaters, etc..Originally posted by A$AP View PostWhat is the name of the streaming company you use? I'm tired of paying $150 a month for cable.
