  • Dryer Exhaust Vent

I think this dryer exhaust thing has to be the most annoying thing in the world! How do they expect us to get a big ass slinky looking thing hooked to the back of something then go around the dryer and out the side of the house? Then the dryer sticks way out from the wall and its just a huge mess back there!

I bought a new washer and dryer and the installers had the things so far from the wall it looked ridiculous! So I bought this magnetic vent system, it is a great idea and super easy to install so I didn't use it. So, I made my own custom vent! I'm actually pretty proud of myself...lol Here's a couple pictures...

Looks good Frank!!. only thing I see that could be a slight hassle is over time you may get lint backed up in that corner and have to clean it out. But hell that happens with most dryer set ups anyway...good work!

Bouncer..."leave that to the pros"...:rofl::rofl: fucking guy cant fix shit. ..:grin::grin:

I had them install it and they did a horrible job. Matter of fact they didnt even have the dryer hooked up. Water lines all twisted it was so sloopy looking. So I redid everything myself. I bought them from BestBuy so I'm gonna stop in there today and let them know about the shitty job their instllers did.

gotta seal the wall where the pipe is coming from or you'll end up with critters...I like the colors of the washer/dryer, good choice.

i learned the hard way when i had a home in ohio...i did the same shit and few days later, I had all sorts of critters in the laundry room.

I eventually just caulked it up and was good to go:)

im surprised you're not using a snake instead of the more fixed pipe for the exhaust fumes to come out...they make some really nice ones now.

either way, get that shit covered up or you're gonna have the misses fucking :woot:

Just as lip said, make sure to clean it out once or twice a year cause it will collect lint which is the biggest cause of house fires. Looks good though!
