Since my daughter is a fire fighter in the county..I just got a call from her. She just got the word everything east of I95 is going under a mandatory evacuation...that means me..
it hasn't been put out to the public yet, but will be by tonight's news cast...:panic::panic::panic::panic::panic:
Georgia will soon be a real life Walking Dead. I always look for you in that show rip. All the back wood swamps they film in, i figure i'll see your goofy ass in the background one of these days.
I'll watch as it gets closer and decide. Filling up some 55 gal drum with water tonight for the ability to use toilets for at least a week if we loose power as I have well water. Plenty of food water on hand. Unless a cat 3 storm or larger actually hits in my area very little chance of flooding. The island is pretty high and it would take a hell of a storm surge to flood me out. Biggest issue I see is loss of power and trees falling on house. we have a lot of big old trees on the property. Had a good bit of limbs n stuff to clean up after the TS a few weeks ago with 40 MPH winds. they are saying if it don't change its track we will expect 70 MPH winds here on the coast.
Lip, get yourself a generator man. I love mine. We loose power maybe once a year but it paid for itself the time we lost power for 2 days. It powers all my essentials and more. Stay safe bro!

Just a bit of wind, hurricane party! Tie yourself to the highest part of a bridge and experience mother nature.
remember andrew, hugo(destroyed miami), katrina???? we had no power for 27 days, we had a curfew of sundown lol...i've never experienced anything like this ever.
i lived in aventura(turnberry towers)and zero power for that long. scary at times because the only lights, were our stars:)
Remember it well, was in the military when Andrew hit. Local officials claimed Andrew only had 8 fatalities. I always wondered how many migrant workers from Diaz's tree farms off the Turnpike in Fl City and how many river rats off Card Sound really died.
