all the times i could of used a blade to cut my food lol

i see many using it for boxes, guess never thought of it for your own food.

one thing we have at my office is a paper/box cutter. we get cases of paper all the time and cutting that fucking yellow strip can be a bitch.

Not trying to insult you city folk, but if you're using your knife for everyday use and to cut food, be careful not to use regular oil on the blade.

i was just thinking about it when turbo mentioned it. because many times i'd be looking for a blade to cut my chicken or whatever, and nothing...i don't see myself using it for THAT reason, but wouldn't mind doing it if needed.

good point on the oil i guess

Funny..for a knife when deployed I always just carried a Kabar..just like in the WWII and Korea days... I mean WTF John Wayne carried one??? I used the damn thing like a hammer..stayed sharp stirred coffee and cut meat did everything I ever needed it to do.

For hunting I just use a lock blade folding knife. I have a Puma I got years ago in Germany when I was stationed over there. I also have an old Gerber I have from when I was sponsored by them when I was fishing. I have a few custom fixed blades but don't use um much. I also use a box cutter type razor knife for skinning hogs as I have found a knife not worth a shit for them.

Imo a knife is a knife is a knife.. find one that's comfortable in your hands..made with good quality material that will stay sharp and has the features your looking for. Too easy..

Yeah, but that's not going to give you drama-filled threads.
