As thick as it is here on the coast of georgia...you pretty much have to be elevated to be effective on deer. I never understood why you have that law up thete, but it must be.../ work in that area for a reason.

On the buck....years ago I would of dropped him...I was mad at all of um...lol..now I try to be more selective. Just the first day...I can do better. Deer are small down here but he was young.

Hunted last night after work...saw a doe and a yearling at 18:20 hrs....then at 19:02 had a small rack come buy..could see 4 points...couldn't tell if it had brow tines getting too dark...

Got about 280,000 acres of it to roam...almost 200,000 of it huntable..lots of swamps too. Hunting the pine flats for deer as you can see farther and catch them moving when they pop out of the drains and cross the flats..:thumb:

Got gators all over... cant hunt them on post, but all other areas on the coast you can. I have 9 preference points saved up. I will be going next season My buddy's son got a 9'4 this year. there were a bunch of 10's and a 12'4 out of the river right here taken this year.
