  • Gym rules rant

Every member is told the #1 rule in the gym when first joining is to put your equipment back once your done but its more common since than anything. You take milk out the fridge put milk back in the fridge. Its mainly this one new guy I guess is cross training some what but its just frustrating when plates & dumbbell's are all over the place and I'm watching this guy leave the trail so I asked hey bro are you done with all these dumbbell's over here & he goes yeah you can have em then walks out the gym. lol He had to of just joined cause I've only seen him a couple times within the last week but next time I'm just going to explain to him that he has to put his stuff back once he's done. If not that means me or someone else has to which is unacceptable.
YOUR MAMA IS NOT HER SON!! lol

The guys that grunt across the whole gym when they aren't even lifting a lot of weight

      Using chalk that gets everywhere.

Not wiping down the machines after sweating all over it (ok not to wipe down if you're a hot chick).

Girls that walk around with chronic resting bitch faces and think they are the hottest thing ever.

the one fucking dude that's constantly staring at himself in the mirror in front of the db rack when you're trying to get your db's.

I do shrugs in the dB rack sometimes but I make sure no one's around. Especially when going heavier with 130 lb. Dbs I want to be able to rerack them quickly.

I never wipe off the equipment or put anything away. I use chalk make a mess and make noise. Nobody ever tells me any of that is wrong and if they did I would throw a dumbbell through their skull...

because it's in my house. Lol

Training in your house or garage won't cut it bro. The inspiration isn't there. Nobody is willing to admit it but everyone wants a certain level of attention and competition. It's simply too relaxed and laid back in your home. The atmosphere is all wrong i don't care what you say its all wrong I tell ya!

Had this argument with rocket for years. He finally sold all his home workout gear joined a gym and admitted he trained much harder once he joined a gym.

Yea certain things like shrugs are acceptable to stand at the rack IMO.

I couldn't agree more with that. I trained in my basement while I was in high school. When I got a gym membership I had more motivation to workout/push myself harder.

What I hate most is the fags that leave their towels and bottles on machines or benches but don't come back to that area for like 10 minutes because their doing a full body workout. I just move their shit, I don't even ask. Fuck that.

Working in the gym, I see all of this every day. It's gotten to the point where I just tell people to rack their shit up. Especially the tools that leave 800lbs+ on the leg press.

It's gotten a little better, but every so often I have to curse people out and they just stand their in shock.

Every single one of my clients know to clean up after themselves. That's just how shit goes
