Oregon has had this, great...But the fact that it's NOW more mainstream, that is a good thing.

my concern is where do they draw the line for those who don't smoke much then get behind the wheel or a piece of machinery.

a few weeks ago Boston had one of the biggest smoke outs in the city, thousands attended, including myself.

The Feds have chosen not to enforce federal laws in the states that have allowed pot use, whether for medicinal or recreational purposes. But in the eyes of the feds, it is still illegal.

Now, if the feds decide to change this and start enforcing, then the states may sue the feds and it will likely go to the Supreme Court.

And this is important:

Under Obama, the feds have generally moved towards reduced incarceration, reducing the prison population, decriminalizing some violations, etc. Which is all a good thing, because I think we imprison way way more people that we should.

Guiliani, on the other hand, is a law and order hardass. He is all about increased policing, harsher penalties, more incarceration. He may not be willing to look the other way regarding pot.

Enjoy it while you can. Once the new govt takes office, who knows how the feds will move.

Scrum, i'm not saying what you've posted is wrong or false, i know at fed level it is illegal. however this is my point;

Feds are not going to put me away for my own stash, not happening. AND if it did to me or someone else. look at all of the tax payers money they would spend(like they need to spend right?)just to TRY AND prosecute someone for personal usage? not happening bro.

here's my concern. this legalization is somewhat like giving a teen a new credit card with a $10K limit. shit's gonna hit the fan soon and not too good when it does.

the govt is and will bank billions from this, i said billions i know, just wait. what they should of done is come up with a solution on how to determine who's DWI and/or who's not. we have a standardized number for drinking right? now imagine the weed passing:)

there's no uniformity either, it's kinda like tossing shit onto a chalkboard and waiting to see what shit sticks, right? we're about to unload a flood gate of idiotic people who will ruin this for others like myself. if there's a such thing of saying; "I'm a responsible weed smoker" then i'm that guy...but saying responsible along with doing an illicit drug, yea well oxymoron at its best.

I like to think I was very early in this movement l. I spent time readin and studying the data in regards to the medical efficacy of MJ in place of often more toxic and addictive mainstream drugs for everything from cancer, spasticity , epilepsy, arthritis and pain relieve.

I'm not a pot smoker but I've really enjoyed seeing the push for its use on medical grounds and legality coming to fruition
