Hot damn, the boys are back. The newest episode us by far the best and most resembles the best parts of top gear. Still needs a few tweaks but it was a funny and enjoyable episode.

well the last few episodes have been right back to shit. the latest africa special part 1 was just garbage. completely unbelievable scripted garbage. they have somehow lost their chemistry which i dont understand. its the same 3 guys, it the same producer. i don't get it. they dont seem to be having fun anymore. the best way to describe this show in 1 word.. forced.Originally posted by Bouncer View PostHot damn, the boys are back. Watched the last episode last night and you are right. It was bad. Here we are living in the age of gps, they are getting instructions via satellite phone but somehow they got lost in the desert while being followed by the entire production crew. Lol.

Yea supposed to be an epic journey and they drove in a little circle on a beach. Where is this epic budget being spent? The episode was 44 minutes and they went nowhere. Just lame.Originally posted by BEAST View PostWatched the last episode last night and you are right. It was bad. 2nd part of the special was slightly better because I did laugh twice. When Jeremy falls down with the parachute and James tosses the dido Jeremy put in his car back at him while they were driving. So what I'm saying is in a 2 part 1 hour 45 minute special I laughed briefly twice. Sad for top gear standards. There are times during the second part of the special where they copy the top gear African special literally scene for scene especially the dust part. Jeremy repeats some of the exact same lines as well.. "every bone in their crotches, that's what i'm going to break"...
it's like all creativity has been lost and they are just going through the motions because they are bound by contract. they don't seem happy at amazon. something just feels very different.

the latest episode was mixed. started out pretty good but started going downhill towards the end. it's like they don't know how to pace the show properly. certain segments seem to start and end without a middle. your left thinking... "wait is that segment over?".. by the very end it was pure crap. all pretend. they weren't on a ship and they didn't launch a cruise missile at hammond. it's not funny, it's forced crap that isn't smart or creative.

episode 10 - had some funny parts in the beginning, review of the Alfa was good and then it all goes down hill. the guys go to the islands with a decent plan. to sink some stripped cars to help make and artificial reef for the fish. this could have been great and it would have if it was old top gear. old top gear would have laid out a basic script and just film whatever happens. In grand tour we get once again a forced, fake, predictable pile of shit segment that I can only assume is aimed at a target audiance of 12 year olds.

Hope in the sense that it's getting towards the end of season 1 and they finally got some chemistry back. Didn't come across forced. Maybe they were just finding there way a bit with the new series. 2 more episodes to go. We'll see.Originally posted by Turbo3000 View PostHope? You have basically said that 2 out of 10 episodes were enjoyable. It sounds like a shit show.
