  • LOL @ Vladimir Putin's weird obsession with the west.

I think he must think Seagul is a big A list actor here in the US and it will show people that great US actors love Russia. The last movie I saw this fat sack of shit in was Under Seige when I was about 5 years old.

"President Vladimir Putin on Friday made Steven Seagal’s Russian citizenship official by personally handing him a newly minted passport.

Earlier this month, Putin awarded the 64-year-old action star his citizenship by way of presidential decree, thanks in part to their mutual love of martial arts.

“I want to congratulate you and express the hope that this is another, albeit small, gesture and it might be a sign of the gradual normalization of relations between our countries,” the Russian president told Seagal during the televised exchange.

The actor, who now has dual citizenship, thanked Putin in Russian for the passport and called it a “great honor.”

Not sure which part went over your head. Putin clearly gives a shit to be presenting this citizenship in person.

He's making a point to the media about US citizens wanting to be become citizens of Russia. He showed up in person because it's Steven Seagul which I can only assume Putin thinks is someone pretty special.

When you personally present something in person rather than having someone else do it by definition you are giving some sort of shit about the subject at hand. In this case the subject being a US citizen.

I honestly don't think there was any political motive behind any of it. They have been friends for years. I think people read to much into this stuff.

If it wasn't political they wouldn't have invited the press. Everything in politics is political.

Do you invite the press and make a statement regarding relations between countries when you give something to your friend?

Vlad could easily have mailed it or given it to him at a private event. Don't be simple. You've got Rado agreeing with you so you know you must at the very least revaluate your position. :D
