Rado, stop buying beans from Starbucks. They burn the hell out of the beans. It is just garbage in my opinion. Remember, the more you roast, the more you lose the flavor of the bean and the more you get the flavor of the roast itself.

Looks for good roasters in your area and get light and medium roasts. I am leaning more and more towards light roasts these days. You can taste the flavors better. I pretty much don't drink dark roasts. And it may be a bit more expensive, but try to get fair trade, shade-grown coffee. It's better for the native people and shade grown coffee does not require clear-cutting of tropical forests for coffee plantations.

Fucks sake, gone for a couple of days and Bouncer lets this site go from superior muscle to superior gay trinkets & things. Why not just get a sponsorship from bed bath & beyond. Come on man, tighten up.

Both of you nailed this on the head perfectly. Starbucks is one of the worst coffee's I've had. I always stick to dunkin donuts even with I use my keurig.

We have local coffee shop that gets its coffee beans from Annapolis and their light roast by far is amazing. It's different and the taste doesn't compare to anything else.

Here are a couple of online coffee stores that sell "sustainable conscience coffee." Grounds for Change is my regular coffee store. I just placed an order yesterday from Thanksgiving Coffee, so I'll let you guys know how the beans are.

Do you drink your coffee black? When I'm on my diet I only drink black coffee and it tastes like cat piss....lol I'm gonna try the lighter roasts like you suggested. I thought the darker roasts would have more flavor, so I've been doing it ass backwards the whole time.... :(

Pretty much always black. The lightest roasts retain the flavor of the bean and also have the most caffeine. The dark roasts have more of the roast flavor, and the roasting process reduces the caffeine content. Done right, the roasting adds its own flavor, but most of these shops over-roast and burn the hell out of the beans, and that gives that charred taste that turns people off. Done right, black coffee is delicious.

I do prefer dark roast. But I'll look into that site scrum thanks.

Nothing wrong with dark roasts, as long as you can find someone who doesn't burn the beans.

something you mentioned; about the beans.

so if it's darker(roasted), it has less caffeine? and if so, then i kinda like this because right now, im up to 2 "specialty" drinks. this setting(on the ninja coffee) is typically what an espresso would be if i got one at starbucks. not to mention when she makes me a latte:D, so that's 3 for the day.

if we were not up so early ED(4:30am), i'd probably be having 2 if not at least one for the day. this is what we have 99% of the time.Starbucks Coffee, Tea, Drinkware | Starbucks® Store when starbucks is out of it, we then get of their other reserves similar in taste.Starbucks Coffee, Tea, Drinkware | Starbucks® Store

one thing i want to mention; i never started going to starbucks because everyone else was doing so. i tried DD and many other places; i actually once said i'd never drink that(starbucks) coffee lol.

i can probably count on 2 hands how many days of coffee i've missed in 4 straight years, maybe even one hand. we always like to try other types of coffees wherever we go and at times, we'll buy a bag or so.

i'd be curious to hear your thoughts or even some good suggestions based on what i posted. not sure if you have similar in taste for what we drink.

i never thought i'd like coffee this much, never.
