  • Still blown away by California

Strange to see lemons in January and Sunshine like summer. I'm still used to it being 13 degrees this time of year with a foot of snow on ground. Why does anyone live anywhere else?

Looks beautiful and I'm sure it's easier on the body and easier to rise on a morning

If I could pick my property up and move it to Cali I would but no way could you pay me to live there. Packed in like sardines. Not my style but definitely fun to visit.

Packed in like Sardines? I don't live in the city bro, I live in burbs. But I guess to someone that lives in literally the woods even the burbs is packed?

Try living in uptown Chicago or just outside NYC. Now that was packed in like Sardines. Compared to that I'm in the country now!

True but I've quickly become what I always blamed beast of being. A "fair weather faggot". 50 and below in the morning and I'm freezing my tits off.

Yeah, I'm sure it's different than Chicago. For me I just love nature. When I look out my windows I don't want to see anyone. Just trees animals. Couldn't imagine living anywhere else.

As much as you like "scenic views" would you enjoy living in the country? I'm far enough out that it seems remote but can be to a grocery store, gym, ect.. in 10 minutes.

Beautiful view, but California isn't for me either. Great state to visit and vacation but I don't have that fuzzy warm feeling of wanting to live there.

Seems like you have the best of world's there, I love the pictures I see of florid but it seems a bit much to have glaring heat all year round. In NorCal it seems there is weather change and lush vegetation but even in winter it just doesn't get severe.

part of that may have to do with the fact that the whole time you were here it was raining. you literally came the the 3 days last year SoCal got rain. :D

That was my 3rd time in California. First time was in '06, I stayed in Monterey, but traveled to San Francisco, San Jose, and Fremont.
2nd time was in 2008, I was in Fremont.
                              3rd time was LA.

It's great and all, but not for me.

Baltimore is just the bastard child 20min North of us.
