That's just because people don't know how to escalate or are intimidated. I'm willing to sit in a cell for a few days, bit believe me, I'll sue their pants off for violating my civil rights. They can't violate my 4th, and if they do, I'll insist on exercising my 5th. And if they don't let me, well you better believe there's a multi million dollar lawsuit that Uncle Sam will be staring at.Originally posted by Bouncer View PostDoesn't sound like they really answer to anyone. You'd probably end up sitting in a cell for days.

Yes. You basically cannot be searched without probable cause. You can give the info under protest, and then sue for then violating your civil rights. I personally will not give that info without talking to a lawyer. And do NOT sign ANYTHING without a lawyer.Originally posted by Bouncer View PostIf you give your password to avoid a problem with them can you still sue? Isn't it illegal for them to do that to a citizen?

with this caveat, well duh lolOriginally posted by Scrumhalf View PostIf you take them to court, the truth will come our in discovery when my attorney asks for all records to be made available on why I was targeted. If it is profiling of any kind, their ass is toast.
But to say they need probable cause to get warrant is just :rofl:but as you said and we see this ED in govt cases, they get fucked.
But i gotta tell you, this probable cause is way to lose of a term in our govt policing

"Trump asked a black reporter to help him set up a meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus. When Trump was asked by reporter April Ryan if he’d meet with the CBC, Trump asked her if they were “friends of hers” and then instructed her to “set up a meeting,” as he apparently assumed that she knew them because she was black as well."
