Three weeks ago my wife brought home this little female kitten who does not like me at all. I love animals and would never mistreat or hurt one so I don't know what her deal is.

Two days ago I was in the bathroom getting my TRT ready and she's at the door watching me. I had to turn my back to her so that I could use the mirror to help with my vision. Once I pinned myself I start to get my fingers in position to inject...this kitten jumps on my dam calve with those razor ass claws so I turn around trying to knock her ass away for about 15 seconds while the syringe is bouncing around in my dam cheek. Well I finished my injection but that was more blood than I ever had while pinning. Today my ass is so sore its not even funny....and I'm the one who paid for her dam shots and food.

lmfao. only thing i can think of is the kitten was abused by a man before you got her.

when we got my 12 week old pitbull pup she would run away from me every time i had something in my hand. that tells me that the people that had her before would hit her or throw something at her. she's not scared of me at all anymore cause she knows i never hurt her. just give it time and show the animal she can trust you.

That's what my mother in law said. Every time I pick her up she hisss at me and I have to hold her front paws. I wish I had a video cause it was actually kind of scary. lol That little kitten hissing with razor claws. lol I'm trying to earn her trust but that there was enough to keep me away for a min. lol

keep some treats and shit like that and give her stuff when she's good. positive reinforcement. never negative. when she isn't good she get nothing. no attention no nothing. Since I was a kid I almost always had a dog. Rottweilers, Boxer, French Mastiffs, and Pit bull. They all respond much better to positive reinforcement compared to yelling and hitting.

I literally laughed out loud reading this thread. I can't stand cats, my sister had two growing up. There's just no personality there, with dogs there's so much more interaction

That was a good lol IRL read right there. Do yourself a favor and get the cat declawed. It will calm her down, keep her from fucking you up, and your furniture will thank you later. The longer you wait the worse the recovery. I wish I would have done my two cats much sooner than I did.

Oh and you gotta show the cat who is alpha in the house without being abusive. A spray bottle with water in it works really well. Cats hate being wet and whatever evil thought they have will be gone as soon as they get squirted. They run and clean themselves.

Funny I did get a squirt btl but the trick @bouncer mentioned with the treats has been sooo helpful. At first whenever she heard my voice she would run but now she's actually coming up to me. Its breaks my heart so see her run in fear of me because of something someone else did to her in the past.

My aunt has 2 cats, when I spent the night there over Christmas they would walk over me as I was sleeping. When I woke up in the morning, one of them was 2 inches away from my face staring at me. Needless to say, I almost jumped out of bed
