  • Missed two weeks

Well the bronchitis bug jumped on my ass BIG TIME. I messed two weeks of working out and I'm sure you guy's know how much that sux. I lost 8lbs, a little strength & stamina. After missing the first week I tried to workout one day but it was just impossible to breath with this shit. Its just crazy the gains that can be lost in two weeks from being sick & getting off the routine but I'm back in it. Hell I can imagine if I wasn't on TRT. Would have lost a lot more. lol

You'll be fine bro. In 2 weeks you could get those 8 pounds back.

8lb loss is probably more from not eating as much cause your sick and not hungry. 2 weeks away from the gym itself shouldn't cause any loss.

It shouldn't be a problem. I took two months off with zero fucks given and I'm fine. Your strength and intensity levels should be back were they were in no time.

Hell I believe it did my body a lot of good by missing that time. Seems like I've been growing a little bit easier on certain muscles. if that makes since. lol

Not surprised. People don't really take into account the nervous system when training. Steroids allow you to train on a level that is more intense compared to your natural state but your nervous system can take a serious beating if your the kind of guy like me who wants to be in the gym all the time. I have to force myself to stay home because I know I'm overtrained. I can literally feel my nervous system when it's been over worked. Hard to explain but you learn your body very well over years of training, dieting etc..

So yea, that 2 weeks allowed your nervous system to recover and return to normal. Cortisol levels are now lower etc..

Steroids enhance the muscles but they do nothing at all for the nervous system, it's one of those things rarely talked about but hugely important. I think it played a roll in me passing out last summer.

I agree 100%. The CNS being overtaxed is a weird feeling. I remember my last prep my coach told me to take every 4th day off, but i was so excited and wanted to train everyday. So about 4 weeks in of training everyday and cardio and i was dragging my ass into the gym to do legs. normally i would warm up then do sets with 315 for squats. I got under 135 to warm up and when i got ass to grass i coudlnt move, it was like my brain couldnnt signal that i needed to spring back up. I felt so exhausted like i couldnt complete any movements.

So i said ok ill just do leg extensions and maybe some leg press. Go to leg extensions and i couldnt make my legs extend. Total CNS exhaustion.

I think the CNS will be overtaxed before your muscles will be. I am not sure that i believe you can overtrain, but you can certianly UNDERrest and not eat enough to repair what you broke down.
