What's wrong with the s7 edge?

Dropped my phone in a puddle yesterday and so now the battery doesn't charge. Was thinking about just getting the same phone through my insurance but don't want to wait a few days for a refurbished phone.

Need a phone ASAP and don't want to wait a month. Don't care for for New Gimmicks. Just need a reliable phone that gets me on the Internet and has good battery life.
I was thinking the S7 or S7 edge.

Yea, pretty much this. I actually preferred my Note 2 over my current Note 4. Didn't seem to be as buggy and the battery life was better. Plus who wants to pay extra for a phone when in a few months it's already old tech. I stopped falling for that bs.

The one i have now was a temp fix until the s8 would arrive. Ive had every Samsung phone since the S2.

Kinda sucks i just paid $800 for the s7 edge couple of months ago but i knew this was the deal. I would of gone with the google phone, but it is still in the early stages. Hopefully down the road i will get it

That's the sad thing about these super duper edgy phones. Pretty as a painting, but require an ugly-ass case to protect them, so you can't see the phone anyway.

surely they can come up with a material that doesn't scratch or shatter within reason. like dropping it on the street or something should be fine for a modern phone with high tech materials.

I recently started to use a case; never did like them for the very same reason scrum just said. But they've gotten better in design, and way over priced too

They still suck. Especially the way they cover the volume and power buttons etc.. you don't get the same feel feedback.
