Just heard some sad news about a local guy who was well known in this area for being fit in body building condition who committed suicide over his girlfriend. He was actually a great guy. It makes me sick when I hear of anyone committing suicide especially over love. Its just bullshit in my book. This guy had everything going for him and lived a wealthy life. I just can't make since of this shit. I'm 48 and been through my share of females but I've never come close to even thinking about ending my life over another person. I don't know if or what he used but steroids is the first thing out of people mouth which is easy to do...Its simple to blame it on roids use when you don't know the real truth and those who do know the truth are still going to blame it on steroid usage. I spoke with two different guys today who also are gym members and steroid usage is what they both said right off the bat when they don't know the real story of this guy. Its like people want to have the answer so they ACT LIKE they know what their talking about.
Just a screwed up deal with a good life loss.

Sad to hear bro. Yea, I seriously doubt it was steroids that caused him to commit suicide. Some people seem to be happy on the outside but inside they are struggling with stuff like depression, anxiety, etc. It doesn't take much for them to crack.

I know several who blew their brains out. They were all soldiers I've served with. Several I never would of imagined they would do it. But they kept there shit, What ever it was bottled up. Unfortunatly this shit happens. If you know the family support them the best you can. Try not to over think it bro...I've had many sleepless nights trying to wrap my head around it. It didn't help..ya have to just accept it for what it is...remember the good and move fwd. I know it may sound harsh...but for me...it was what worked. Best of luck with it.

I've known a few who have done it. All were over a girl which I'll never understand.

          A female? Damn, that's rough.

My cousin lost his battle with depression about 2 years ago. Right before Christmas. I was the best man in his wedding. He was a good person. To say it devastated the family is an understatement.

I think a big problem is the stigma over mental illness. People dont want to see a therapist and/or psychiatrist because they dont want it to be known they have "issues."

I found out last night from a close family friend of his that him & her both went to a wedding that night and both were drinking HEAVY. Now that this has come out I wonder if everyone is still going to blame it on his gear usage. This is exactly what I meant by saying people acting like they knew it was because of steroids when it most likely was not. To much alcohol & a failing relationship is my guess but you never know what goes on in someone else's head.
