I like the originals. You cared about the characters, there was a great story to tell, there was magic in those originals that the CGI crap just cannot match.

It feels like now all they do is label a movie "star wars" create a bunch of CGI scenes and call it a day. The stories lack originality and the characters are forgettable. Bunch of lackluster dung.

There is more meaning in this single scene from the original than all the remakes put together.

That message being believe in yourself, don't let self doubt get in your way. Same with Yoda's other famous line. "Try Not... Do or Do Not... There is No Try". That's powerful shit. The new movies have nothing that compares to any meaningful message like that. It's just lazy story telling that you've forgotten an hour after you've seen the CGI turd.

My 7 year old loves episodes 1-3 and makes me watch them with her. [emoji24]
