    LETS HEAR EM!!!

    Drewry Brewry Egg Nog =-]

    6 eggs
    3/4 cup sugar
    1quart milk
    1tbs vanilla extract
    1 pint whipping cream
    1tsp nutmeg
    1 cup rum

Combine eggs, sugar, and salt...stir until creamy

Combine said above ingredients and half a quart of milk in a heavy saucepan.

Place pan onver low heat and heat until...well until its pretty darn hot.

Add the rest of the milk and the vanilla to saucepan and stir well then move contents of saucepan to a freezer friendly container and place ingredients in freezer.

Let sit roughly 10-15 minutes and check every subsequent 1-3 minutes until mixture feels cold enough to almost freeze, or ice over. (but dont let it freeze or ice over)

Add contents from freezer ( egg mixture), the cream, rum, and nutmeg in a blender, or stir briskly with a wire wisk for about a minute..... Pour in cups... top with scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with caramel......enjoy

Tea time tassies...I just made about 3 doz. on Sunday night. :) There are less than a doz. left and I wasn't home since I made them. LOL

I change the recipe a bit...add more butter to the filling and use some pecans as well as walnuts, but here it is in original form:

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
        1/2 cup butter
        1 cup all-purpose flour
        3/4 cup packed brown sugar
        1 teaspoon vanilla extract
        1/4 teaspoon salt
        2 1/3 cups chopped walnuts
        1 egg
        1 tablespoon butter

        Directions
        1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
2 Blend softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter or
margarine. Stir in 1 cup flour and mix well.
3 Shape 2 dozen-1 inch balls. Place in tiny ungreased
muffin pans and press onto botton and sides of tins.
4 To Make Filling: Beat egg, sugar, 1 tablespoon
butter, salt, vanilla and nuts until smooth. Fill pastry cups
and bake until filling is set, about 25 minutes.

          Candy Cane Shooters:

Chill peppermint schnapps and green creme de menthe prior to making.

Get a tall shooter glass, and fill the bottom 1/3 with grenadine syrup. Next, pour green creme de menthe over the back of a spoon slowly so that it layers over top of the grenadine syrup, until the glass is 2/3 full. Finally, pour peppermint schnapps over the back of another spoon, layering over the green creme de menthe. The shot looks and tastes just like a candy cane!

To hell with plum pudding and such, this is my favorite Christmas tradition!

They are always a hit at parties.....they look so impressive, and get the H'ors D'oeuvres off of guests' breath to boot.
