    My day off work

    Got the call...about 11 last night. Some dumb ass soldier splashed a truck into a lake and it floated out...then sunk. 0700 hrs I'm at the lake with my canoe. Tow company fire dept mps . But no dive team....lol. I take canoe out n start dragging. Tow company has a small jon boat.They do same thing. We keep hitting something in about 30 ft but can't hook up to it. We mark it with a float. Few hours later diver shows up. Confirms its the truck...the recovery begins. Finished up about 1200 hrs. Truck was a rental...lmfao2017 Ford 4x4...

              In the last picture. Zoom in on grass across lake over back bed of truck. You can see 4 tire marks in grass. That's where he lost control and slid sideways into the lake. It floated about 75 yds untill it sunk. Wrecker crew pulled it straight out where you see it. Diver said truck was sitting on front grill with back of truck pointing towards surface in 30 feet deep water.

                in a case like that will he have to pay anything? will his insurance increase? or does it all fall on the insurance of the rental company? he should def have to pay something. cops charge him with anything?

                  He will be charged under UCMJ for sure. It was a rental...Like from Avis or something. I assume if he paid for the full coverage additional insurance it may be paid for. However I'd bet there is a clause built into that stuff that driver will be responsible because he wasn't driving lawfully. I bet he will be buying that truck. The recovery/tow bill is gonna be in the thousands...:rofl::rofl:
