Do you think that $400 dollars more for a bigger screen and a faster processor is worth it? And how much additional ram should I purchase? Is it worth it to upgrade to wireless internet?

Please do not respond if you are trying to dissuade me from getting a Mac. I like the product, and am willing to pay the extra money for it becuase of the lack of problems compared to Windows.

I am going to be using this for school, but do you think I need to have a DVDR drive?

Sweet, I think i'll get the large screen, but take off the superdrive (its like a 300 dollar difference, and the only major diff is with superdrive, you can record dvds)

Plus the big screen will be good for watching downloaded porn

You will be doing reports using microsoft word, excel, power point, etc.. I know macs have these as well, but if you saved something on your mac and tried to print it out in the computer lab at school, you could have some compatibility issues there, also keep in mind that you are against getting a windows machine, but you'll be using all microsoft products to do your school work, word, excel, internet explorer? etc....

for school, I think you will find out that you will have more headaches with the mac vs. a windows machine. :)

BB...he is absolutely right when you look at it from this standpoint.

I see where you are coming from, and trust me, I took this into consideration when I was thinking about it, but the entire bio building which is where I will be basically living for the next few years are all wired Mac, so I think that compatability wont be an issue.

I just purchased a 15" combo drive and I love it. I have my pc for games and stuff and my pb for school. I like panther better then xp. Everytime I play on my pb I just fall in love with it all over again.

              >sigh<

Ive been looking at laptop accessories, and I couldnt find a laptop bag that i liked by louis vuitton.. and the bags at coach.com all seem too small :( I did see a few keychains that i was interested in.

After searching the web, I think I might get a crumple bag.. but I cant seem to find ANY that would fit a laptop with a 17in display

Turbo~ Do you feel that the 15 in display is sufficient?

The 15" is perfect. I love it. I think it is the best size for a portable computer.
