  • I'm back

Most likely no one gives a shit lmao, but out of courtesy I'm announcing I'm back. The transition from the military to civilian was a hell of a lot more difficult than expected.

Well if that isn't the fucking truth I don't know what is. Lol. Apparently I'm over qualified for McDonald's and under qualified for Burger King. Stuck giving HJs at the 7/11.

Welcome back. Can you go to school on the Army's dime or something? Not trying to be harsh/judgmental/ or anything, but giving 11 years of your life with a nonzero probability of getting killed or maimed and emerging with convenience store skills is pretty outrageous IMO. They've got to make it up to your somehow.

Agree. If the government owes anyone anything it's the soldiers it asks to put their life on the line.

Yes he falls under the GI Bill where they pay for the college.. unfortunately he does not fall under the Post 911 meaning if you were active duty during 911.. They pay you a certain amount while you go to college...
I was in from 98-2004 And they paid me to go to school when I got out...
Alot of soldiers join because they want those college benefits

Also he is a Vet... he can easily obtain a government job... he just needs to apply on USA Jobs and if he is smart he needs to put in for disability... I'm sure he has been deployed so he can get a rating for PTSD or any other disability he might have

Yeah. I have the G.I. Bill and I also qualify for the Post 9/11. I'm about a year from finishing my B.S. in Cyber-security and I'm doing an internship as an IT release Manager. Experience is what's kicking my ass.

In a serious level. I'm doing okay. Decrease in pay. Decent internship that'll pay off down the road. Took part in a bullshit short documentary for the company I'm with. Just the transition. Drop in pay. Adjusting. Y'all know the deal. It's a bitch to go from one career to a new one after 11-years
