Put some new tires on the truck and its pulling a bit, so I went in for an alignment about 2 weeks ago. turns out I need to replace the front end on the truck, Upper/ lower support arms, ball joints tie rods etc. its in rough shape. these fuckers quote me $1900.00.:rofl: I'm like are you fucking kidding me...$900.00 for parts and a grand for labor.. fuck that.. Did some shopping around, buy a few parts, get discounts on next purchase.. took me two weeks to get the parts this way.. my grand total...$440.00:D And Ill do the work myself in a day this weekend.. The fucking prices and the mark up is fucking crazy.:wack::wack:.:agreed:

Damn straight! You should have had your wife take the truck in. I bet the price would have doubled, LOL. They see a woman and they automatically think she is an easy mark.

Find a good mechanic and try to form friendships. Most people won't fuck over a friend.

I can do most minor things like change my oil, spark plugs, air filter: Shit like that. Anything more in depth I have to take it in. I am friends with a guy that owns a tire/brakes shop locally and he refered me to one of his friends. This guy is great: Knows his stuff and is honest to a fault. I have had him do thousands of dollars of work for me in the past couple years.

That's crazy man. I took my work car to tire's plus since we have a contract with them because my blower for my a/c went out and they wanted $1,200. I youtubes it, bought the blower off amazon for $67. I pulled out the glove box & its right there. 3 screws & a 3 wire harness. Took me 15 min. Tires plus said their computer said it takes 7 hours. Only aggravating part was working upside down. lol fucking rip off companies.

Major rip off for anything being done. My clients transmission just went out on her Ford Escape. Dealership quoted her $5500 for a replacement. Took it to a local transmission rebuild place with her husband and got quoted $1500.
