I finally put in points I've been saving up for the last 10 years for the gator tag lottery. I used 5 points and was selected. Guess I'll be going alligator hunting this year for the first time. This shit should be fun.:agreed:

Gator meat is very mild. Its good and very healthy. I'm setting a minimum size of 8 ft which isn't a very large one. Time will tell.Comment

Last night was opening of the season.we saw about 40 I'm guessing. Most were small.we did see a couple good ones we couldn't hook. Managed to get 2 up to the boat one a bit over 7 ft. The other was over 8 and we were deciding if we should take it...Then he did a roll and took off which snapped the line and he was gone...Lol fun stuff fighting one for 30 to 40 min before they even surface. Then he does right at your feet and your looking eye to eye with him. Try it again soon... Also I wanna add...They are strong bastards I have a lot more respect for the power they haveComment
