It's FedEx and USPS working together where FedEx carries it most of the way across the US and then hands it over to USPS to make the final delivery because the USPS goes to every house in America on a daily basis. In theory it sounds great. In the real world it's horrible. Placed an order for some ancillaries like a week ago and the package is literally moving at bicycle pace across the country. It's gone 700 miles in 7 days and still has a week from now as the scheduled delivery. Never use SmartPost.
