The Japanese had to convert a Tokyo rail line from above ground to below ground. The simple solution - shut down the line for a few months to get it done.
But the Japanese of course have other ideas. They decided to - get this - finish the job in 1 night between the last train of the night and the first train of the next morning.
Can you imagine this in America?
As an engineer, I am proud of our profession but in awe as well. The Japanese are something else.
