Oregon is burning

Wildfire season is insane.

This is about 50 miles from Portland. I-84 is closed. I'm standing in downtown Portland and I've got ash falling on me. There's so much smoke, Im having a hard time breathing.




And this is a small one. The huge one, the Chetco Bar fire, biggest in the country at the moment is burning in SW Oregon. 170,000 acres, only 5% contained.

Crazy pic.

Apparently we have some crazy fires in Nor Cal also but I haven't seen any or smelled the smoke like I did last year.

The damn fire was caused by some idiot teenagers throwing firecrackers on a hiking trail. Fire has spread to 10,000 acres, 0% contained. Small towns in the Columbia River Gorge are being evacuated. People are pissed - apparently, police have ID of the kids involved. I wouldn't be surprised if they throw the book at them.
