Local flooding here. Lucky I'm a bit farther on higher ground my house wasn't affected by flood. Have chainsaw work n yard debris clean up. We got power back today.

Lots of homes flooded here..pretty rough go of it...I'm currently taking my 12th truck load of debris off of my property. I can't complain house is solid n not flooded. Lot of folks don't have a home right now.

I'll tell you what. Some of those Caribbean islands literally look like they were hit by a nuclear bomb. Every single leaf ripped off every tree and everything just leveled. They are saying certain islands may just be abandoned instead of rebuilt because of the cost and logistics. In a small island there is no place to remove the rubble so every single thing would have to be removed by ship and all knew materials shipped in. Very sad.

Lipripper your so right about it changing course. Lucky. I'm about 40 miles off the GA coast. Spent over $800 preparing for the hurricane and never even lost power. The savannah area has been so lucky for many years. I actually thought this one was coming straight up at us.

Yeah we were very lucky here. There are a lot of folks who have lost everything. Hoping FB and DYEL are doing ok.

Due to excessive lobbying from FPL, Florida residents without power due to the hurricane are not permitted to use their own solar panels

A category 3 and gaining speed hurricane is now taking the same path as Irma and heading directly towards the Caribbean and Florida. fuck sake.
