She rolled up a nice lil 5 point today with her .243. We had almost 7/10 of a mile thru swamp back to truck. Decided to cut a pole and Indian carry it out.

not for long and not with a handgun. hunting rifle sure, i never shot one but just watch how good I get with a handgun. my groupings are going to be a half inch spread from 100 yards by this time next year! i'll most likely be able to put every round through the same hole son. :weights:

That's awesome Lip. My youngest daughter has an interest in hunting (not sure how long that will last) so I plan on getting a tree stand for 2 next year so she can come out with me. She's only 7 so fall archery should be a good season and it's not too cold. Only problem is trying to keep her quiet for 5 minutes. lol

Been taking Sabrina since she was about 5 I guess bro. Just gotta make it fun for them. When hunting with kids..its not about the hunt..its about them experiencing every thing..squirrels, pretty leaves, birds, deer tracks, rubs, deer crap.. anything to keep them interested and wanting to share it with dad..when they are bored..its enough for the day..it could be a 3 hour hunt..or 20 min..make it about sharing special time with them in the out doors..the hunting part will all come together..Go get an icecream cone when it done..just make it fun time with dad bro..itll all come together.

Last couple years, she broke away from dad...had to do her thing...guess what..shes back..she loves it and missed it bad.:thumup: Shes all over dad again:D

Yeah I took her our out last year a couple times but only for about 30 minutes. Then she was ready to come in. :D Now she wants up in the tree stand. Like you said above, she really just likes spending time with me. And putting on face paint! lol

That would be a great picture...:thumup: I remember Sabrina was so small she couldn't climb in a tree climber, so I would strap her in and then get under her stand..push her up a few feet at a time up above me..then help drop her stand as she had to come down..7 years old or so..25 ft up a tree with dad watching for deer or hogs. She knew when the gun came up to cover her ears...LOL:D
