    if i had my own property i'd get one of those custom outdoor brick oven pizza ovens before i got some hillbilly smoker. a good grill and a pizza oven is all a real fella needs.

        you dont JUST boil them LOL



        boil them for 2-3 hours with bay leave other seasoning like salt and pepper
        smother in homemade BBQ or buy one overnight in the frig
        Then in the oven for several hours
        optional* finish on the grill to caramelize

        the meat will be falling off the bone...

          you don't get it either I take it...lol you don't have to boil ribs to make them "fall off the bone" if you smoke/ slow cook them properly that's what they do. People boil them because they cant or don't know how to smoke them. so they do that to replicate it....then you have to cover them up with sauce or something else because you boil all the flavor out of the meat...LOL

            ripper what your not understanding apparently is that a smoker is not something that most people want to deal with. everytime you make or order a pizza was it cooked in a genuine brick pizza oven? no? does that make you lazy or stupid? good now stfu.

            a smoker is great for meat, we agree. a brick oven is great for pizza we agree. but sometimes you just don't have the option. stop acting stupid. you can still make something pretty damn good without the smoker or the brick pizza oven.

                    yes i understand. that's exactly what i'm saying. but you can still make a homade hoagie down in the swamp that is half decent even though you aren't in jersey. sure you can;t get the good rolls or the quality lunch meat but you can certainly make something a whole lot better then subway. that's the point.

My point was simple...its not the same that your trying to replicate the texture..flavor etc. not gonna do it. didn't say it couldn't be good. where did I ever say that? I said its not the same... and trying to copy it...a certain individual Professional ex- cook who has never smoked a thing in his life except weed said you could boil them :rofl::rofl::rofl: I disagree.. its not the same. pretty simple really.:D I actually needed some quality entertainment as it was a slow work day..this was fun..:thumup:
