Is "shithole" a racist term?

When I drive by a shitty town and say to my girl "what a fucken shithole this place is", I'm not even thinking about race. I'm simply saying it's a shitty town.

Before you jump up to say "yes it is because of context"... I want you to tell me when the last time you booked a vacation to a place like Haiti? Why haven't you? Because it's a shithole and we all know it. Does a basic fact make you a racist?

Mofo, I don't think anyone said they hate the people in those areas. "The place is a shithole" is not an implication of anything, it is a direct statement with the word "place" in it.

A place where the people live in squalor is a shithole.

These places, in other countries, where the entire country is poor have people in control who have not figured out a political and economic system that allows people to prosper, get an education and provide for themselves. People that can't provide for themselves and have no education don't exactly provide much value to the United States in large numbers.

Example. Driving from NorCal to SoCal we drove through Stockton CA and I said "what a dump". I had no idea if it was a poor white area, Mexican, black, etc.. I had no idea.

So I guess my point is why did people jump to "racist" with Trump?

When was the last time Hilary Clinton vacationed in Haiti? Why wouldn't she vacation in Haiti? Is she a racist because she would never in a million fucken years vacation there?

Any person can say a place is a shithole but it can be for a variety of reasons. I live near Baltimore City, which would be a shithole to anyone who has been to another major city (NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc). The reason why it’s a shithole to me is because the streets are terrible (physical streets) and that it’s overall are gross city (lack of public works from outward appearance). But speak to other people (many in my family) and Baltimore is a shithole because the population is primarily black.

I agree. But it’s the terminology and the person involved is where it takes a different meaning. A man who imposed a Muslim ban and then referring to the same countries as shitholes will be different than you saying it.

POTUS is a country leader using terminology which is historically out of character. The goal for POTUS is to remain as PC as possible; POTUS hasn’t been this far and has a personal vendetta. It’s obvious he is letting personal bias affect his statements as POTUS.

If you said “fuck all females on SM”, that would have a different meaning than any other member saying it. Why? Because you run this “shit hole”. You would be marked as sexist immediately whereas anyone else would be having a bad day.
