Been to both. If you go to Dominican Republic make sure you go to Punta Cana not Santo Domingo.

That's the area we were looking at in DR, also a place in Jamaica about an hour out of Montego bay. Both look awesome, smaller resorts so its not the big party spring break crowd. Hopefully we will have decided by the weekend and get it booked. Just looking for input to maybe help decide.

Nobody says that knows anything. They both have equally beautiful beaches and resorts. Both are dumps for the most part as soon as you leave the resort.

Not just the resorts and beaches are beautiful,but the town's as well.. Just like Puerto rico, they all dumps...but with DR and Jaimacan being poor countries good luck leaving the resorts or you better have a guide cause they will rob you.
