I meant Santo Domingo is known for the ruins, city, sightseeing and culture vs Punta Canta and it’s beautiful beaches.
Ever been to either?

Punts Cana would be my first choice if I just wanted to chill on the beach.
Jamaica is a dump in my opinion basically the Bronx with palm trees

yes i been to Santo Domingo, it's nothing impressive. culture wise i'd rather go to Cuba.

Jamaica is a dump aside from the resorts but so is the DR. not much difference.

if you want to go to a nice island where you can walk around and explore and not feel like your in a third world dump you go to the Cayman Islands, Bermuds, USVI, BVI, Barbados etc.. but they are all 3 times the price of the DR or Jamaica. most people just fly in and go straight to the resorts on both islands.

Agreed I was going to say something similar.... the whole carrribean in general. Cheap trip short flight is good.The ride through the ghetto to the resort is interesting. the beaches are nice but nowhere near some other places.
