When shit gets banned the black market explodes.

When alcohol was banned and made Illegal in America consumption went up!
Yep. You'll never completely get rid of them, but this would make it much more difficult to get one for the average person and much more risk to have one outside of the home. But there will always be a way as you say.

The punishment for having alcohol during prohibition wasn't as severe as I think the punishment will be for having a semi-auto outside the home when this happens.

Over time, the statistics will show that it's "working" and with even the newer generation after millennials coming in with no gun experience and never being around them it will multiply from there.

I think the key is the "buyback" program. Even though austraila has less guns, the percentage who participate in the "buyback" will be comparable, especially with this younger, angi-gun generation who are also completely broke. Pawn shops will get in on it, because "Business" and the ability to 3-5x their money. New businesses will be created buying guns and melting them down and recycling the materials.

The buyback incentive will be so large, that people will participate on mass scale and if you want to compare population, China has a much larger population than the USA with more manufacturing capability, black market, and 3-d printing but there are very very few guns in that country so that would be a counter to the population argument.

Also this could be applied to China, UK, and Australia even today. Especially China since they are the king of manufacturing and 3-d printing, but the penalties are so harsh there, that nobody does it.

if guns are banned in America watch the chinese black market kick into high gear to sell to Americans. chinese people dont have a demand for guns. different culture.

the buy back program would be much less succesful then you think. if someone is broke they can sell their gun right now on gun broker.

criminal organizations need weapons, cartels need weapons, police need weapons, military needs weapons, hunters need weapons. combine that need with the 500,000,000 already on the street and your argument goes out the window.

think about it bro. a buyback program for that many guns would bankrupt the fucken government. my LWRC was $1300 alone. lol

Yeah but they will sell the guns to new businesses who melt them down and recycle them so they will recoup some of their money.

I don't think this will stop guns completely but I do believe it will be effective over time.

what about the accessories? they gonna pay me for my trijicon RMR? they gonna pay for magazines? they gonna pay for all my 9mm and 556 ammo?

what you propose is something that looks good on paper but the scale is far too large for even the US government.

it was successful in Australia because it was so small scale and people didnt have the same love for their guns that Americans do. they still fly the union jack bro.. that says it all really. they are fine with being controlled. lol. they proudly fly a flag that basically says "Britains bitch"..

on top of that you have some old school hardcore types that will literally die for their guns. i'm not saying I would. i have too much to live for and I love my family too much for that shit but there are definitely many people in this country that would shoot it out to the death. it will be a blood bath.

as you know, all banning something does is create a bigger black market. we will have more fire arms being made with 3d printers, underground machine shops, overseas smuggling etc.. guns will always be part of america.
You are like the clown in the vid. You point is unless you can completely get rid of guns there is no point having gun laws at all. lol.

We have tons of gun laws. Criminals don't follow laws.

All I go off is the stats on our country and what happened. Everything went down, suicide, murder, pretty much all crime. You keep saying the countries don't compare. Basically you are saying that if it won't eliminate all gun crime its not worth doing. WOW!!!!

I think the guys in power over there are a bunch of hot headed clowns. I'm amazed when I see these guys being interviewed and they can't even string a sentence together. Lets not even get started on your president. Jesus christ.
