Yo I ain't watched it yet, but I'm confused why everyone is dressed up like they went to see coming to America instead of a comic book movie black panther.
lmao. they having a good time but they definitely play into the stereotype.
how the hell did you post a link that has the video playable right from the forum. usually with like a youtube link you have to click the link that takes you to youtube to play the vid. that video playes right on the forum. pretty cool.
Humans are such tribal animals at the end of the day. All of us.
I have no idea. I first tried to embed it and that didn't work, so I just posted the direct Vimeo link and it came out like that. I don't think it works that way with Youtube.
There is a Vbulletin setting where you can turn on the youtube embed feature so we can play directly from the site.
I just want to see the fucking movie without people making it a big fucking deal.. It's a comic book movie about a super hero.... IN AFRICA . Why do people have to think it has to be something Deeper? Mother fuckers can't be from Africa??
Its not even the first black super hero movie lol
It's not even black panther the movement/revolution and let me tell you about people being hypocrites. The same mafackas that wear these African culture clothes because of this movoe are the same African Americans that claim not to come from Africa.
Yea hypocrite alright..
So the whole deal is th back story of Black Panther as a superhero and his origin. He’s supposed to be smarter than Tony Stark and Wakanda (his hometown) is the most technologically advanced in all of the Marvel universe. It’s an all-Black storyline.
Tie that significant backstory to the fact that all of the characters being cast as as black is huge since Hollywood didn’t try to incorporate white actors; also, the black actors they cast were either African or children of African immigrants. Think of Prince of Persia or the new live-action Aladdin being produced. One was white-washed for Hollywood because they “couldn’t find middle eastern actors” and their solution was to give Jake Gyllenhall a tan. With the Aladdin movie, they actually went on a hunt to find middle eastern actors in Hollywood (or trying to breakthrough) and cast them.
I’m seeing it tomorrow and I’m just excited for a new Marvel movie really.
anyone seen it yet? i know it's getting great reviews and it's been a major hit. i'll see it eventually.
my question though is this. is there so much pressure on critics and such a wave on social media that it's become unpopular to criticize the movie at all. it has almost 100% rating on rotten tomatoes which is almost unheard of for a comic book movie.
is the movie that great or is it a bit of media pressure? bori, mofo? i don't want ripper or chadds opinion because those 2 are clearly white supremacist. and scrum is too old to even know what im talking about. rado is a wannabe white supremacist so i dont want his opinion either.
i know bori and mofo will be real. is it as good as critics are saying?
Bouncer I saw it and thought it was outstanding. There is a great story line between the African American and the African... How different they are even though they are from the same tribe. And honestly, this isn't a spoiler but I didn't know which way it was going to go. I think the 100 on Rotten Tomatoes is warranted.
I have no idea why there is any controversy. It's just a great fucking movie across the board 100% and I'd recommend anyone to go see it. Worth it.
