Gopro hero 5

Looks like I can pick one up for $179 bucks at the PX. Pretty good price. I'm thinking of getting one for our trip to Jamaica. Does anyone here have one? pros..cons? I'm just wanting it for simple recording of trips we take and maybe some snorkeling. Its supposed to be good to 33 ft. I dont see me going anywhere close to that..LOL

Agree.. this #5 sessions is so small. Its voice activated waterproof for underwater filming with sound..all kinds of shit. pretty cool stuff. and I can get it for $179 and no tax..I think its a damn good deal.

eBay has a refurb first gen session for $89. It would be plenty for you, but the updated one isn’t a bad deal at all.

Probably their worst product to date. Recalled and then finally cancelled. The founder is a guy that got lucky. He is running the company into the ground.

Go DJI if you want a great consumer aerial quad.

It does work ok, after they were recalled for falling out of the sky. It was cancelled because DJI’s quads destroy it.

It is a cool toy, not worth the 1g they wanted. But anyway, Nick is far from
Brilliant. A lucky surfer that strapped a disposable camera to his wrist. Groundbreaking at the time, but China clones have pushed a lot of customers away. Check out the stock price of GoPro, layoffs, and the grumblings of past employees. Nick can’t innovate.
