Regardless of what McCabe did, the guy gave 22 years of his life to the country. Firing him a day before he becomes eligible for his pension is the biggest dick move there is.

Whether you are Dem or Republican, you've got to agree that this is a pathetic, vindictive and totally unnecessary move by Trump. A billionaire kicking a working stiff purely out of spite.

trump was counting the days. he made a tweet 3 months ago pointing out that McCabe has 90 days to go before retiring.

Dude, at worst, this was a question of judgment on the part of McCabe. Crimes? It's not like he was stealing money from the department or somehow personally enriching himself. The guy is leaving anyway in two fucking days. Let him retire and move on.

But how long during his career did he do wrong? We will never know. So if a criminal got away with shit for 20 years then finally got caught doing something small...we should forget the rest? Really?

Really....yet you complain about how our government is so fucked up..
                    Hypocriteical scrum....damn

Ok, but this way, you've just convicted him without even a trial. The only thing on him now is that he *maybe* used bad judgment in allowing his staff to talk to reporters.

Rip, as you surely know being a career military guy, federal employees willingly give up higher salaries in the private sector to serve the country. A pension is their reward for turning down a lot of career earnings and serving. Taking that away is a judgment call that, I think, is petty and vindictive.

Anyway, that's my opinion, based on being a people manager for over 25 years. Not bringing any politics into this discussion. I'm talking purely from the standpoint of fairness.

Just don't see the punishment as fitting the alleged crime, that's all. You take away a guy's pension for something pretty debatable.
