i think you'd be surprised. if people put a few potted plants and trees, bit of paint etc.. that area could look pretty nice. that could easily be turned into a beautiful old classic looking German view.

I agree and many people obviously love this type of setting. But you couldn't pay me to live in an area that when I looked out my window I saw other buildings. That would drive me insane!

but i generally agree having lived in Chicago. there are benefits for sure but lack of parking, traffic, noise etc.. does get old fast.

New York city, Boston, DC, San Diego, Tampa, Philadelphia - those are the cities I've been to in the last 5 years. Been to many more than that but visited those more recently. I'm just not a city guy. Even to visit I can go for a day maybe 2 tops. Just not for me. All the traffic, noise, ect... I get why some people love it but it's just not my thing.

I think everyone should be able to take a piss off their back porch and not have to worry about getting arrested! :D
