good article rip. well written, well thoughts out. we need more people like that writer on our side.

its actually a good thing that some people are actually calling for a repeal of the 2nd amendment. they will never win that battle. if they were smart they would stick to the slow and steady death by a thousand paper cuts method. by coming right out and admitting their agenda they have weakened their argument and strengthened ours.

There would literally be a civil war here if they tried to. I believe that with all my being. I'm definitely one that would never surrender my rights, under any circumstances.

Ya Rip, that was good. I read the whole thing. Agree with it.

Guys, I'm not really following it much but are people really talking about repealing the 2nd amendment completely??? I thought these florida kids were after high capacity magazines and semi-auto rifles. I think it's important to distinguish the two. Is repealing the 2nd actually on the table or on the agenda of some of these people? It can't happen. It won't happen. It's in the constitution.

I haven't heard a single serious current public figure advocating for a repeal of the 2A. the only person I have even heard it from is John Paul Stevens, the retired Supreme Court justice, who incidentally is a conservative appointed by Ford.

It is my understanding it was written as a rebuttle for some calling for just that. It don't matter ...who...it is if they are a politician that current...left...right,That's irrelevant...it's that fact that they are and the seed is planted. That cannot be denied. And yes srcum. A past supreme Court judge has done just that.

It's been brought into the conversation and that alone is a victory for the pro gun side. It feeds into the fear tactics used by the NRA and says "hey maybe the NRA is right, they are coming for our guns". That old man's comment has galvanized the pro gun side which actually may have been what the old bastard was trying to do. LoL.

The gun organizations have all seen record setting donations this month. On top of that, there is a liberal gun owners subreddit that has trippled in size in the last 3 weeks.

Lots of pro gun rallies are being setup and slowly but surely the resistance is organizing and growing by the day.

The media picked up on the old turds comments and that was the spark that got many gun owners up off their lazy ass and say "I better take this seriously".

Just look at the comments section in controversial videos and Twitter comments of controversial 2nd A topics and there is a lot of people saying they want the 2nd repealed.

There was even a Twitter post that went viral advocating shooting NRA members. I love when these so called peaceful safety loving gun grabbers show their true colors. It's even better when it goes viral with hundreds of thousands of likes.

Yes, great idea. Anti gunners come and shoot gun owners. Lmfao. People who know nothing about guns taking shots at people who have fired thousands and thousands of rounds. That would be a delight.

These are the kind of people who, given the power, would round people up and exterminate them for their opposition view point. They are letting their true colors shine.

And the thing is, power given enough time corrupts the mind of all. It's human nature.

This was the reason for the amendments in the first place. To try and keep the balance of power of the people and government somewhat equal.

To anyone that says citizens with guns could never match the might of the US military. Tell that to the Vietnamese, or American Patriots who fought off the largest military in the world for our independence. If you have nothing to lose and you believe in your cause you are a serious threat as long as you have a way to defend yourself and your country.

So nobody other than no-names on Twitter and YouTube comment trolls are talking about repealing the 2nd amendment. You guys are fighting a battle that doesn’t exist. The, “pry the gun out of my cold, dead hands” crowd are wasting energy talking and worrying about something that isn’t even on the table.

Can we focus on the future sales of high capacity magazines and semi auto rifles? You know the actual issue that’s on the table? Educate me.

Is it just banning future sales of those things or for those of us who have them will we have to turn them in? What is it exactly that’s on the table? What happened when Bill Clinton accomplished this? Was it just sales or did people actually have to surrender their Equipment?
